Malta Poker Festival Package Winner Heading to Malta VIP Style!

Marcos Ramon Aran Calvo (pictured) will be heading to Malta Poker Festival VIP style in April after winning an amazing €2,000 VIP Package in a MainEventTravel giveaway.

The 38-year-old from Spaniard will be competing in the €300,000 guaranteed Grand Event as well as enjoying five nights’ accommodation at the luxurious 5* Hilton Malta.

About the Grand Event


The €550 buy-in Main Event –  known as the Grand Event powered by Unibet DSO – is the showpiece of the festival, offering an impressive €300,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players will receive a 50,000 starting stack, and the tournament features six starting flights, with 40-minute levels on Day 1s followed by 50-minute levels Day 2 and 3. There is also a LIVE DAY 1 at The Hippodrome Casino on Saturday, March 16! 

Players will be entitled to two re-entries on Day 1 and can register until Level 10 each day. Not happy with your stack? You also have the option to surrender your stack before bagging for Day 2 and try again! PLUS, 15% of the field will bag and those going to Day 2 are in the money. Players also receive a free casino buffet dinner on Grand Event play days.

MPF Spring 2023 saw 1,226 entries in the Grand Event culminating in a prize pool of €586,760, crushing the £300k guarantee. Scotland’s Lewis Coffin emerged as the victor; pocketing €100,600.

MPF Autumn 2023 saw 1,444 entries in the Grand Event, ending with a prize pool of €693,120, again crushing the guarantee! France’s Arthur Navello took first place after a deal with Norway’s Kjetil Hanstvedt who both went home with a hefty €115,000 in a chop.
