It was quite the rollercoaster for Sharmark Mohamed today as he was up and down the stacks all day. Earlier in the day he said he was down to just a few big blinds a couple of times and he was one of the short stacks to start the final table but managed to find a double with play 8-handed to get up to more than 600k.

He was closing in on a million when he doubled up Larry Hill (5th, $2,117) to drop back to about 700k. He sent Hill to the rail shortly after and never looked back from there. He doubled to just shy of a million through Shane Hall (3rd, $3,575), then sent Hall to the rail shortly after to stack up 1.65 million to start the heads-up phase. That was more than double his opponent, Preston Stevenson, and he was never really at risk during the final phase.

In the final hand, Mohamed shoved a king and Stevenson called off at risk with an ace. Both players whiffed on the flop, but Mohamed nailed his kicker on the turn. Stevenson was still live drawing to either of his cards, as well as a four-card spade flush,  but the river was a brick for him to send the pot and the trophy to Mohamed.

The Bounty game is over with Preston Stevenson as the runner-up tonight. He was the short stack for all of heads up with winner Sharmark Mohamed at 2:1 for much of it. They mostly played a small ball game with a lot of limped pots but near the end it turned into a bit of a shove/fold fest.

In the final hand, Mohamed shoved a king from the button and Stevenson called to put himself at risk with an ace. Both players missed the flop but Mohamed smashed the turn with his kicker. Stevenson still had outs to a spade, however, but the river was the wrong colour of black and Mohamed's five played for the win.

Sharmark Mohamed raised the cutoff to 50k and got a call from Shane Hall on the button. The flop was and Hall called another bet of 50k. Mohamed fired 100k on the turn and got another call. He bumped it up to 200k on the river and Hall called pretty quickly with the nut flush against .

"You just call the nut flush?" asked Preston Stevenson. Hall noted that the board paired on the river so he was worried about the boat.

Larry Hill shoved the cutoff and Sharmark Mohamed called from the small blind. Mohamed was dominating with queen-jack into queen-nine but Hill hit a nine on the all-heart  flop. The turn was also a heart which had Mohamed calling for a fifth heart for the chop, but the river was a diamond and the double went to Hill.

It was a race when Gary Sandhu shoved fro about 100k and Colten Yamagishi reshoved from his left. Sandhu had for a flip against the pocket fives of Yamagishi. There was a five on the flop to set Yamagishi up for the bounty and the set held.

"I'm back," said Yamagishi with a smile as he's rebuilding since being nearly felted by the treys of Sharmark Mohamed.

In one of the final hands of the previous level, Larry Hill opened to 25k from the hijack and Colten Yamagishi reraised the small blind to 78k. Hill called to the flop where Yamagishi slid out 36k. Hill came over the top to 100k to get the fold from Yamagishi.

The marathon bubble is now complete and Arnold Groot was the unfortunate bubble tonight. He shoved pocket deuces from the cutoff but ran into pocket nines from Shane Hall in the big blind. Both players flopped a set and turned the boat, but the nines full of aces for Hall beat the deuces full of aces for Groot.
