Shortly after Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov grabbed headlines in the WSOP $10k Tag Team event – both winning their first gold bracelet – another dream couple were enjoying a deep run in the $1k Tag Team event.
EPT founder/partypokerLive President John Duthie and WSOP bracelet winner Barny Boatman finished the event in 105th place for $750 apiece.
The pair have known each other for decades and when Duthie founded the EPT in 2004, Boatman – and fellow Hendon Mobsters Joe Beevers, Ram Vaswani and Barny’s actor brother Ross – were all stalwart supporters attending most events.
