With only 18 people bought in and sitting at their tables when the tournament started at 1 pm today we weren't sure if this would be as big as we had thought but as time went by more and more players entered and with the optional re-entry until the dinner break another success would be a fact under the wings of the WSOP Circuit.
This is just the second event of the fully packed schedule here with 53 events running over 11 days here in Tallinn so it's fair to say that the party has just begun. And when the registration closed we could count to 109 entries in the field leading up to a combined prize pool of €104,640 and 13 spots getting paid.
And it was like something shifted in the whole tournament room after the dinner break. The early chip leaders with their big stacks had a hard time winning these important coin flips overall and when the first break after this we saw a huge change in the chip stacks with players almost counted out now climbing, and climbing, and climbing.
One of these players was the well-renowned Aki Pyysing from Finland. I started calling him "The Terminator" in the coverage and after the tournament had finished Aki laughed and said that's what they used to call him back in the 1990s when he played in Helsinki.
But Aki isn't just lucky. He started playing poker before many of the players in the field still wore diapers and has been on the scene longer than most players. It takes some luck in poker but the consistency and patience he showed during the later part of the day paid off as he now goes into the final table with more than double the amount of chips as the second player - Josh Stewart - when the tournament resumes tomorrow at 1 pm. If you're curious about how everything evolved during today's play you should read the posts in the coverage to see some of the big hands.

All nine players still in the field are now guaranteed at least €3,050 for their efforts but the winner of this event will not only get one of the amazing golden circuit rings but also €27,840.
Make sure you tune into the live stream tomorrow not only to follow the resolution of event #1: €555 No Limit Hold'em but also this one as it will be on de secondary feature table right next to it. And obviously, you will get top-notch coverage here on the blog where we will do our best to give you all the interesting hands and everything else happening on and around this thrilling final with several notable players still in.

That went by fast. We were expecting this to go on for at least another hour or so but the last eliminations went so quickly that we had a hard time catching up.
The last man busting the tournament and the bubble boy for tomorrow's final table was Marco Baglioni and just like a lot of other players here during the late hours at Hilton Park and Olympic Casino he met his overman in the Finnish terminator Aki Pyysing.
After the money went in we had the following showdown:
Pyysing:
Baglioni:
The board ran out and the dust settled in the room as we had our final nine players for tomorrow.

Joni Rantamaki was just eliminated from the tournament by his fellow countrymen terminator Aki Pyysing. The two of them got the money in pre-flop:

The board ran out which must have felt utterly hard for Rantamaki who both flopped the flush draw and turned the jack but got beaten by runner-runner flush. He's just unstoppable Mr Pyysing right now. He's up to over a million in chips too so we'll likely see him tomorrow if nothing really strange happens here with two more players to go until we've reached the final nine.

With 12 players remaining our favorite Finn Aki Pyysing still holds the baton with three times the average stack (272,500).
Even though his stack seems to have decreased a bit that was only an illusion after the latest color-up when they put the 25k chips into play. Right next to Pyysing, we have another man who's not too uncomfortable either after eliminating the past four out of five players from the tournament. Mister Steponas Venckus from Lithuania.

Steponas Venckus surely is the man of the hour here in a pretty empty ballroom at Hilton Park as we're closing into the final nine players in event two of WSOPC.
Blinds are 5,000/10,000 (BBA 10,000) and the average stack is 272,500.

It seems like someone's in a streak right now. Steponas Venckus just busted two more players and without all of the tension on the bubble we are now in the money just like that.
It was just a couple of hands at his new table when it was time for Steponas Venckus to find another golden spot to get his chips in. This time it was against Roope Tarmi and Saulius Tumosa and it all went in before the flop.

Steponas Venckus just busted two players in the same hand and just like that we're closing in on the bubble here in the €1,100 event.
All the money went in before the flop with Andrey Koks pushing all his chips over the line with a pair of nines on the hand and Georgios Tsouloftas pushing behind him with . Steponas Venckus looked down on

Not much has happened during this last level before the break the players are on now. While they are away we're going to have some chip counts. We lost one player which leaves 20 players coming back and seven more to go before we're in the money in this event.
The blind level just popped up to 2,000/4,000 (4,000) and to be honest we think there's just one player who feels he can sit and wait for his turn in this tournament right now and that's Aki Pyysing who still holding down the fort with his huge stack and his arms crossed around his waist.
A lot of the players have around an average stack which is 149,000 or just under. You can really feel the tension in here right now as players wait to find the right two hole cards to make some magic happen.
Ermo Kosk and Santtu Leinonen were involved in a hand when we arrived at the table.
Kosk check-called Leinonen's bet of 21,000 on the turn with the board reading . River came

Joona Ranta-Nilkku finds himself down to just above one big blind after losing a huge pot to Vidar Assersen from Norway.

Ranta-Nilkku's hand went to the muck and he's now patiently waiting for a hand to push with. Lucky for him he has a few more hands before the big blind will automatically put him all-in.
But it's like they say. A chip and a chair. Everything can happen in poker.

As the players are now down to the final 24 the tournament staff is doing a re-draw for the remaining three tables and we have a smaller break to let all the players take their new seats.
We just overheard our new chip leader Aki Pyysing talking to our fellow live reporter Juhani telling him about when he used to play in Russia back in the days. "They called me Lycky Aki", Pyysing smiled and looked over his huge pile of chips.
We also got to know how he managed to get the chips before the hand with queens over jacks. He apparently flopped the nut flush versus his opponent who also flopped a flush with his .
"You have to have some luck", Pyysing commented as he took a sip of his huge glass of water leaning back and for now can relax as all the shorter stacks struggles to survive on the new blinds of 2,000/4,000 (4,000).
Early bird chip leader Georgios Tsouloftas was down to only 35,000 when he found a necessary double-up through Ermo Kosk with vs.
.
The board running out made our fellow Cypriot sigh of relief as he raked the chips and could continue his journey in this tournament.

It seems like the short-stacked players have had a hard time trying to double up. Instead, they busted like flies the past five minutes and we've broken yet another table and are now down to the final four. Three to go before we can call it a night.
32 players remain. The average stack is 105,000 and the blinds are 1,500/3,000 (3,000).
The prize pool was just announced and 13 players will be paid in this tournament with a first price on top of €27,840. If you make it amongst the 13 you will be guaranteed €2,300 for your effort.

For the first time in the tournament, a table has been broken and just after a few minutes another one also broke. That leaves us with five tables with the 39 remaining players remaining in the field.

We are back!
Another seven players felt the urge to throw some chips around and bought in during the dinner break and now with the registration closed we officially have 109 players in this tournament and a three-figure prize pool of nothing less than €104 640 to play for.
We continue the play with the blinds of 1,000/2,500 with a big blind ante of 2,500. Shuffle up and deal!
It's very very even between the five stacks in the top now when the players are on their way back to their seats in the €1,100 No Limit Hold'em event but with a couple of chips Finlands Roope Tarmi is in the lead with 159,00 just before Estonias Vladislav Topilskiy with 155,000 and his fellow countryman Aleksei Smirnov with 153,000.

The tournament director just announced that we will play the last three hands and then it's time for the dinner break.
While the players enjoy a good steak at The Able Butcher on the second floor or something else delicious we're going to count some chips.
You all have to excuse me. Even though I've done this for some time now a few years off live reporting I made an error previously in the blog. We are not playing a specific amount of levels today. We are playing down to the final table of nine players nothing else.
Maybe if it goes very, very late the players (your reporter) probably prefer to have a good night's sleep and continue tomorrow with the live-streamed final but the plan is to play down to the final tonight which hopefully won't be too late as the tournament experts have predicted but as you know, with poker everything can happen.
We have a few minutes left of the tenth level of today and then it's time for dinner break for one hour. The tournament will then resume right before nine o'clock.
Our brilliant photographer Elena Kask took some brilliant pictures from the tournament area earlier and here are some of them.

Both Estonian Pihela Senior and Junior are here playing in the field today. Senior Igor Pihela surely would need a double-up coming back fresh from the break. The blinds on 1,000-1,500 (1,500) and just above 20,000 in front of him he looked down on a good hand to shove.
The good old Pihela Senior got one caller by Aleksei Smirnov and we had a showdown:

We've checked on the chips while the players were on a 20-minute long break and we have a new chip leader. Andrey Koks from Estonia has the lead now with 49 players in the field of the 96 entries made today. He has a comfortable 158,000 in front of him.
But like we've said before it's not too late yet. Whoever wants to buy into the tournament they'll have until the dinner break or as we previously mentioned at the end of level number 10.
Right behind Koks we have Dominik Ostrowski with 148,000. Both players had a good run over the past two levels and built their stacks very nicely.

We're up to 82 entries in this tournament and 51 remaining.
If you head over to our chip counts page you'll find some updated stacks and a few new ones.

We just kicked it up a notch and are now playing on level number seven of today and the blinds are up to 500/,1000 with big blind ante on 1,000.
The tournament clock announces that there are 78 entries now. A number that will most likely increase by the time we reach the end of level 10 which is the last level to buy-in och do a re-entry.

Level 6: 400/800 (800)
Georgios Tsouloftas is on a winning streak right now and Jesus Ucero didn't have a chance when he tried a three-barrel bluff on today's chip leader.
Tsouloftas raised pre-flop and was called by Mika Ramunas and Ucero in the blinds.
The flop was checked to Tsouloftas who c-bet 1,700. Ramunas got out of the way while Ucero check-raised to 5,100. Tsouloftas called.
Ucero then bet 5,700 on the on the turn which also was called by his opponent.
When the river came Ucero instantly went all-in for 16,900 and Tsouloftas thought for a while but decided to call. Ucero turned around
(Queen high) which wasn't good enough against Tsouloftas kings and Ucero left the table while our chip leader now has increased his advance further.

Friday was another fantastic day at the WSOPC Tallinn at Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park.

Players are back from break and meanwhile the 55 players who took their well deserved break after four intense levels at the tables a lot of thing happened. Not only did 14 new players buy themselves into the tournament. The whole crowd also moved into the Main Ballroom here at Hilton Park and Olympic Casino.

This event is a re-entry as we previously mentioned and the players can, if busting out, re-enter the tournament for another €1,100 if they're up for it. So far we have 55 entries but players can both buy-in or re-enter until the end of the 10th level. As we are approaching the first break of the day we are going to run around and collect some chip counts for you to enjoy yourself with while the players go on a well-deserved 20-minute break in a few minutes.
See you soon!
Finland's Roope Holma is the first player to buy in a second time to the tournament after busting his first stack.

Just like if we had been in the fabulous Las Vegas and the World Series, here in Tallinn, we have four different tournament rooms. The Main tournament room is in the Grand Ballroom which is the Blue area. Right next door we have the Red area where the players in this event are gathered and enjoying themselves. Outside these two tournament rooms, we have the Black area which is in the lobby area. On the opposite of these, we have the fourth and last tournament area which is the Silver one.
And what would a WSOP tournament be without a feature table and a secondary feature table right? Here in Tallinn, you can find the glorious feature table just to the right after you've entered the stairs up from the Hotel lobby. The live streaming will start off by tomorrow with the final day of the very first event of this WSOPC which is the €555 No Limit Hold'em. But don't worry this tournament will be streamed right next to that final table with cameras so you can follow the action first hand.
This is the first time WSOP Circuit is coming to the Estonian capital Tallinn but my guess is it won't be the last because so far it has lived up to everything you possibly can expect as a player. Both when it comes to the tournaments with the amazing staff and also Hilton Park is surely living up to its five stars and has the best service you can imagine.

The third level of day on in the #2 WSOPC Tallinn is running and we are up to 41 entries in the tournament with two players already done and dusted.
The second player to bust was Finland's Roope Holma.

We had our first elimination in the tournament and it was Magrins Ruslans. So far it doesn't seem like he fired another bullet. We're up to 34 entries in the field and just about to start level three of the day.

We have 18 players so far spread over four tables in the red room next to the main ballroom here at Hilton. But we expect more eventually since players often late registering for some events. Particularly when it's like this one, a re-entry one.
Welcome to the live report from the second event of WSOPC here in the Estonian capital Tallinn. The sun is shining, the weather is beautiful, and overall it’s a perfect late summer/early fall kind of day to enjoy. But we will spend our time here today inside the walls of the beautiful Hilton Park Hotel and Olympic Casino to give you the latest happenings from the tournament area and the €1,100 No Limit Hold’em event which starts here at 2 p.m. local time.
Players will start this two-day event with 30,000 in chips with blinds increasing every 30 minutes. Players can re-enter until their hearts are content until late registration is closed after Level 10. The plan for today is to play down to a final table of nine players and we will be with you on the floor the entire way.
The players are queuing up outside the casino entrance to register for this event as we speak and we’ll be back as soon as the cards are in the air with some actions from the tables, exciting names in the field, and other fun stuff. Stay tuned!
