EPT Barcelona is just 8 weeks away!

This year's EPT Barcelona runs from August 26th to September 8th at Casino de Barcelona in the bustling Port Olimpic resort area.

After last year's sensational festival, which drew over 2,100 entries for the €5,300 Main Event and featured more than 60 different tournaments, a large turnout is anticipated.

Although hotel prices in Barcelona usually spike in summer, MainEventTravel has found some excellent options within walking distance of the venue. Wherever you decide to stay for EPT Barcelona, don't delay booking—rooms are in high demand, and the best places get snapped up quickly!

Important dates: the €5,300 buy-in Main Event starts on September 1st with the first of two starting flights. It may seem far off, but book your accommodation as soon as possible!

Hotel SB Icària Barcelona – 4 Stars – 0.48 Miles from Casino Barcelona

The Hotel SB Icaria is a truly fabulous option for EPT Barcelona players and one of our favourite hotels in any city! Just three minutes’ walk from the venue, this designer property boasts a great restaurant, stunning rooms with wooden floors, and easily the best rooftop pool in the city! Step up your budget and you could even get a room with private terrace complete with sunbeds! There’s free Wifi, an onsite gym, 24-hour reception and all the other luxuries you’d expect from a top-notch property.

 

H10 Marina Barcelona – 4 Stars – 0.49 Miles from Casino Barcelona

Located in the Olympic Village and close to the beaches, H10 Marina Barcelona is a four-star hotel offering a Skyline Terrace with a pool and stunning city views. The hotel provides a gym, spa, and free Wi-Fi. The rooftop pool and sun terrace offer fantastic views of the city and sea. The bright, air-conditioned rooms feature parquet floors, satellite TV, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. 

 

Hotel Best 4 Barcelona - 4 Stars – 0.68 Miles from Casino Barcelona

The 4* Hotel Best 4 Barcelona is a lovely hotel with a ton of amenities that make it a great choice for players – including 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. Located on a quiet street in Barcelona’s up-and-coming Poble Nou district, it’s just 19 minutes’ walk from Port Olimpic and the hotel also offers bike rental so you could even cycle into the venue! The hotel’s modern rooms all have attractive wooden floors, air-conditioning and flat-screen satellite TV. The hotel gym, sauna and steam baths are all available at an extra cost and you can also book massages. The onsite restaurant offers Mediterranean dishes and there’s also a hotel bar. The hotel is close to Poblenou Rambla which has lots of great cafes and restaurants – and just a six-minute walk from the nearest beach.

Hotel Lyon – 3 Stars – 0.68 Miles from Casino Barcelona

The Hotel Lyon – part of the Hoteles Gargallo chain – is a great option if you want to keep your accommodation costs down. Located right opposite Barcelona-Estació de França train station, it’s close to the Gothic Quarter, the Born, Barceloneta and beautiful Ciutadella Park – and still only 18 minutes’ walk to the Casino. This small city hotel is a simple but well-maintained property which offers excellent value for money. The rooms are fairly basic but perfectly nice and all feature en-suite bathrooms, flatscreen TV, air-conditioning and free Wifi. There are vending machines with drinks and snacks plus a buffet breakfast available. The front desk is open 24/7.

Park Hotel - 3 Stars – 0.68 Miles from Casino Barcelona

If you’re after something a bit more upmarket, the three-star Park Hotel offer fabulous accommodation in a historic building located right in the heart of the trendy Born area of Barcelona. The hotel has a small rooftop pool affording views across the city and also a superb location for foodies - the hotel’s Ten's Tapas restaurant has an extensive menu of traditional and modern Spanish tapas created by award-winning Head Chef Jordi Cruz. The stylish rooms all have a flat-screen TV, free Wifi, room service, minibar and laundry service. There’s a breakfast buffet and reception is open 24 hours a day. You can walk to the casino in just 22 minutes but for a really nice walk, take the slightly longer route right through the middle of lovely Ciutadella Park.

NH Barcelona Diagonal Center – 3 Stars – 0.81 Miles from Casino Barcelona

The NH Barcelona Diagonal Center is part of Spain’s acclaimed NH hotel chain. The hotel has 129 light and spacious rooms, all equipped with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV, minibar and a desk for working. The hotel assures us that the rooms are quiet and the beds have extra-thick mattresses so you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep! The compact but fully-equipped gym is free for guests. The lobby bar is open for drinks every night and there is also an onsite restaurant serving a generous buffet breakfast. Reception is open 24/7/ Onsite parking is available at €17/day. It’s a 24-minute stroll to the venue – and just 15 minutes to the nearest beach.
