As well as the £560 buy-in Main Event, the Edinburgh schedule also includes a £115 Mini Main Event – with £10,000 guarantee, plus live satellites, a £110 Omaha 4/5/6 tourney and a £110 Bounty tournament. Players can also qualify for the £100,000 guaranteed Main Event online at Grosvenor Poker.
One of the highlights of the schedule is Event 3, a £2,500 Cash Game Giveaway. Between 6pm to 4am on Wednesday, April 3, £250 will be awarded every hour to the highest ranked cash game hand. Hold’em and Omaha Cash tables are both included in the promotion and the prize money will be split proportionally depending on how many tables are being played in each variant.
In 2018 British player Garry Stevens-Smith beat a field of 258 entries to take down the prestigious tournament for £36,350, by far the best cash of his live poker career. Also in the money last year were Grosvenor Ambassador Jeff Kimber and 2017 passport winner David Gee.
