The second GUKPT London of 2019 is under way with the flagship £100,000 guarantee Main Event starting tomorrow.
Ridah Khan took down the £10,000 guarantee Mini Main for £7,218 after beating tour regular Justin Kyriakides heads-up. The last eight cut a deal before embarking on their final table battle. There were a staggering 641 entries for the event creating a £62,818 prize pool.
Numbers were also through the roof for the first GUKPT London of the year; January’s Main Event attracted a record 467 entries and generated a staggering £467,000 prize pool. The first champion of 2019, who opted to remain anonymous, beat Greek pro Alexios Zervos to the £100,000 first prize with poker superstars Martin Jacobson, Ludovic Geilich and Patrick Leonard all enjoying deep runs in the stellar event.

The tour’s second visit to London this year features a packed schedule. In addition to the now-completed Mini Main tournament and unlimited re-entry Main Event, a bunch of other events still remain including a £200 NL tourney, Omaha 4/5/6 and 50/50 Bounty.

As well as the packed schedule of satellites and tournaments, there will be plenty of cash games on offer. The GUKPT is the longest running poker tour in the UK and is currently on its 13th season with nine events in total.
