The toasty Vegas temperatures of July and August are somewhat abated by September making this a great time to visit if you want hot, but not TOO hot! September has a feast of action – as per the details below.

Bellagio Kickoff Classic

The Bellagio Kickoff Classic runs from August 31 to September 10 and features over $800,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The Main Event, which starts on September 7, is the $3,500 Bellagio Classic Main which has a prize pool guarantee of $500,000. Players get a generous 50K starting stack with blind levels set at 60 minutes. The schedule also includes a $600 Seniors event, numerous NLH tournaments and two $600 Mystery Bounty tournaments.

The PokerGo tour has a major festival in Vegas next month – the PGT Masters and the PGT Super High Roller Bowl VIII. PokerGo tournaments are not for the faint-hearted though with buy-ins of at least $10,000. The tour aims to become one of poker’s most exclusive series, celebrating elite professional poker players in a similar fashion to the ranking systems of the world’s most renowned professional sports. The PGT Masters, which is taking place at ARIA from September 14 to 26, is a series of 10 events with the player who earns the most PokerGO Tour points awarded the Poker Masters Purple Jacket and the $50,000 championship bonus. The top 40 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard at the end of the season will qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll. The Masters culminates with Event 10, a $50k buy-in NLH tournament. The $50k ARIA High Roller starts September 27 and the $300k PGT Super High Roller Bowl VIII on September 28.

The first, which is running September 6-8, has a $250k prize pool guarantee and costs $1,100 to enter. The tour is geared toward recreational players but plenty of big-name poker pros have taken their shot at a MSPT title over the years including a bunch of Europeans such as Sergio Aido, Erwan Pecheux, Marvin Rettenmaier, and Ludovic Geilich. More than $160 million has been awarded in prize money to date.
