The WPT500 kicks off at Dusk Till Dawn tomorrow starting with the Super High Roller! It’s been seven years since this prestigious festival was held at the Nottingham casino and players are starting to get very buoyed up about the £500,000 guaranteed Main Event.
The WPT500 Main Event is taking place over the end-of-May bank holiday (May 26-29) with five Day 1s running from May 26-28 (including a turbo Day 1e.) The final day is on May 29.
To celebrate the WPT500 UK revival along with the recent announcement of MainEventTravel.com as The Official Travel Partner to Dusk Till Dawn, MET is sending one player to the WPT500.
Tony Isaac snagged an incredible prize package worth £800, comprising of the £560 entry into the Main Event plus a £240 hotel credit from MainEventTravel.com after recommending the Leonardo Hotel Nottingham (formerly Jury’s Inn) and winning in the LIVE random drawing. We will be following his progress at the event.
Kelly Saxby, MET Retail & Sales said: “We are thrilled that the WPT500 is heading to DTD and delighted that MainEventTravel.com was able to give one lucky player the chance to compete at the event via the recent giveaway. We are always looking at ways to add value to players. The promotion also provided great insight into which hotels players travelling to DTD recommend. The Holiday Inn Castle Marina took the cake on that one, and we have great rates there all the time, especially if you are looking to make a last-minute booking!”
Dusk Till Dawn hosted the first UK version of the WPT500 back in 2014. There were 2,133 entries with Eleanor Gudger winning £140,000. In 2015, Swansea player Richard Harris outlasted a 1,615-entry field to win £150,000. At the last Dusk Till Dawn edition of the WPT500 in 2016, there were 1,835 entries with British pro Ben Winsor snagging the £182,700 top prize.
In addition to the Main Event, this month’s WPT500 festival also includes the £2,200 Super High Roller starting tomorrow, and £230 WPT NLHE Freezeout (both starting 25th May) plus a £1,100 High Roller, £120 WPT Bounty and the £120 WPT Finale event. View the full WPT500 schedule here. There are also loads of live satellites on at DTD this week.
Dusk Till Dawn was launched in 2007 and was designed “specifically as a place to poker”. It has stayed true to its roots ever since. The 45-table venue now hosts some of the biggest tournaments in Europe and has a ton of cash game tables starting from as low as £1/£1 NLHE and PLO.
MainEventTravel.com has recently been announced as the Official Travel Partner of Dusk Till Dawn. This makes it easier than ever before for players to book their hotel and travel all at the same time. You can pay for hotels and flights on MainEventTravel.com using Luxon Pay, DTD’s Official Payment Partner.
The WPT500 is a real landmark event and attracted thousands of entries last time it was held at Dusk Till Dawn so expect this month’s event to be incredibly popular. Click here to view all the hotels available in Nottingham on MainEventTravel.com today.
