Hotels super close to the venue
The Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End (pictured below) is just a hop, skip and a jump from the tournament venue and is also ideally placed for the top sightseeing attractions of the city such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, small fitness centre, HDTV in every room, free WiFi – and complimentary hot breakfast is included for all stays. Parking is available (first come, first served) at £15.50/day. There is also a useful 24-hour “hub” with refreshments and convenience items available at any time.
Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket
With its stately grey stone exterior (pictured below), this elegant 282-room property – now part of the Leonardo chain – stands beneath Edinburgh Castle, right next to Haymarket train station in the centre of the Scottish capital. Boasting a great in-house restaurant, this contemporary four-star hotel offers stylish accommodation and is an easy ten-minute stroll from the tournament venue. The hotel also puts you within walking distance of Princes Street, the Grassmarket, and the Royal Mile. The modern, Scottish-influenced rooms are all equipped with flat-screen satellite TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The front desk is open 24/7. Full English breakfast is available from the daily buffet, with cold dishes and continental options to choose from. Voco Edinburgh

Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket
The Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket Hotel (pictured below) is ideally located in the heart of Edinburgh, making it the perfect base for sightseeing AND playing poker. Lying only ten minutes’ walk from the tournament venue, the Mercure is a stylish four-star hotel with spacious, modern, well-equipped rooms and plenty of on-site facilities including a restaurant, bar and lounge area, fitness centre, 24-hour front desk and room service. Parking is available nearby at £11/day. All rooms feature USB chargers, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities and a seating area.

Murrayfield Hotel & House
This impressive Victorian property (pictured below) lies in a quiet setting in the beautiful and historic centre of Edinburgh close to Murrayfield Stadium. It’s a slightly longer walk – about half an hour – to the tournament venue but only seven minutes in a cab. The hotel prides itself on its warm Scottish hospitality with a restaurant serving home-cooked traditional Scottish and international dishes. The comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms all have free WiFi, en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV, and tea/coffee-making facilities. There is free parking too. The hotel bar offers stylish surroundings with daily entertainment and live sports – and there’s a beer garden!
Braid Apartments
Braid Apartments (pictured below) provides a great way to keep costs down during your trip to Edinburgh. The property incorporates 20 modern and stylish apartments with a range of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom options in a historical building in Edinburgh's New Town. Guests on the upper floors of the north-facing side of the building get amazing views over the Firth of Forth and beyond. There are two good Travelodges that are within walking distance from the UKIPT venue at Genting Casino Fountain Park. Edinburgh Haymarket will take you around 22 minutes to get to the venue and Edinburgh Central Queen Street (pictured below) around 30 minutes. The Edinburgh Central Queen Street Hotel sits within easy reach of some of the best sights in the city – from the awe-inspiring castle to the Scottish National Gallery and Holyrood Palace. You’re also only a stone's throw from Harvey Nicks if you fancy some up-market shopping. Edinburgh Haymarket, which is set in a listed Georgian building, is located in Edinburgh's elegant West End near the train station and also has an on-site restaurant and bar serving breakfast and tasty evening meals. All Travelodge rooms feature Freeview TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, a comfy bed with plump pillows and a cosy duvet.
UKIPT Edinburgh schedule
With a £1,100 buy-in Main Event starting October 26 and numerous other great tournaments on the schedule, UKIPT Edinburgh promises a ton of exciting poker action. Flagship events include the £2,200 High Roller (October 25-26) and the £330 Cup (October 28-29). Other tournaments include a £220 PLO event, a £220 8-game tourney, several NLH freezeouts and a £220 Women’s Event on Sunday, October 29.
