Unibet Open is hosting its first ever winter sports festival in Sinaia – one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Romania. Unibet Open Sinaia takes place February 12-18 with a six-day festival giving ski and snowboard enthusiasts plenty of opportunities to take to the slopes.
Sinaia is the closest ski resort to Bucharest and lies just 77 miles north of the capital – around 1.5 hours from Bucharest airport. The resort was once home to the Romanian Royal family who built the town’s spectacular, fairytale Peles Castle in the 1880s.
Unibet Open Sinaia will offer players an unprecedented six nights in the resort and, for the first time, the schedule includes an extra day giving players extra time to enjoy Sinaia’s numerous attractions. The €1,100 Main Event will also start at 3pm each day to give skiers and snowboarders a full morning of downhill action before taking to the poker tables. As always, Unibet players will also be treated to plenty of après-poker entertainment including a Welcome Drinks party and the exclusive Unibet Open SkiFest Players Party.
At the last Unibet Open in Romania, Russian player Anton Vinokurov won the €1,000 + €100 Main Event in Bucharest for a record first prize of €103,060 after beating a tough field of 592 entries.
