WPT heads to Germany with €2.5 million guarantee festival

The first WPT in Europe this year is WPT Germany, a massive festival starting February 14 at Kings Casino Rozvadov. With a total of €2.5 million in guarantees, and nearly 20 different tournaments on the schedule, WPT Germany promises to be a spectacular event to get 2020 really underway.

The festival kicks off with the €500,000 guarantee WPT Opener – the prize pool juiced up even more with 20 Main Event seats. The three-day event features a staggering eight live start flights along with three online Day 1s on partypoker (on February 2, 9 and 13).

 

The €1,500,000 guarantee, €3,300 buy-in WPT Main Event kicks off on February 18. Online satellites start this Sunday (January 26) on partypoker with a €320 buy-in and five seats guaranteed. All Day 1 players get a 40,000 starting stack and 60 minute blind levels. The final day is on February 23.

 

The festival also includes a €5,300 High Roller, €220 Ladies Event and the €250,000 guarantee, €1,100 WPT Closer.

 

WPT Fallsview Poker Classic

Towards the end of February, the WPT heads across the pond for the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic. The WPT Fallsview Poker Classic is always a popular stop on the World Poker Tour and takes place February 16 – 22. First up on the schedule is the $1,100 opening event while the three-day $5,000 Main Event kicking off on February 21. There are also live super satellites running at the casino.

 

Last year Demo Kiriopoulos triumphed on home soil after beating a 602-strong field to win C$392,059. The total prize pool was more than C$2.7 million.

 

Fallsview Casino Resort, dubbed Canada’s largest and most elegant gaming resort, is built on a cliff overlooking the world-famous Niagara Falls. As well as a gazillion slot machines and table games alongside a luxury hotel and 1,500 seat theatre.

 

WPT fun continues towards the end of February with the WPT LA Poker Classic at the Commerce Casino. The prestigious $9,500 + $500 Main Event. runs February 29 to March 4 and is set to attract some of the world’s best poker players. Following that it’s time for WPT Rolling Thunder (from March 7-10), WPT Barcelona at the end of March and the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown at the end of April.
