Two huge WPT events are coming up soon - WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam from March 7-15 and WPT Barcelona from March 27-April 5.
WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam
Back by popular demand, WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam will be taking place at Holland Casino from March 7-15.
We are the Official Travel Partner for the WPT with tons of accommodation close to festival venues in both Amsterdam and Barcelona.
The €1,200 buy-in WPTDS Main Event, which starts March 12, is just one of 20+ tournaments on the Amsterdam schedule. The nine-day festival kicks off with the €560 WPTDeepStacks Opener from March 7-8 and also includes a €2,200 High Roller (March 14-15), several PLO tournaments and various turbo events.
Last season, Christos Economides won the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Main Event, snagging €74,760 portion of the €325,375 prize pool. Economides defeated a tough final table with poker heavyweight and PCA champion Chino Rheem among his opponents. For 2020, the buy-in will be €1,200.
All Main Event players start with 30,000 chips with 40-minute blind levels on each Day 1, increasing to 60 minutes for Day 2. One re-entry is allowed per day up until the end of late registration. Players can have competed on Day 1a, 1b and 1c have the option to take their biggest stack forward to Day 2.
WPT Barcelona
A huge WPT festival is planned for Barcelona at the end of March with the WPT Barcelona Main Event, WPTDeepstacks, WPT500 and WPT High Roller all on the schedule. There will be a total of €5 million in prize pool guarantees across the whole festival.
Following a series of online Day 1s on partypoker, all the WPT Barcelona live action gets underway at Casino Barcelona on March 27 and continues right through to April 5.
First up is the €1,000,000 guaranteed WPT500 Barcelona. There will be a total of eight live Day 1s taking place at Casino Barcelona, from March 27-29. Following that, it’s the €500k guaranteed, three-day High Roller which begins March 30 and comes with a €5,300 buy-in.
The WPT Main Event, which features a staggering €3 million guarantee, starts on March 31. There are three live starting flights in total, with Day 2 commencing April 3. If you don’t fancy stumping up the €3,300 buy-in, there are also eight live super satellites taking place at the Casino from March 30-April 2.
The last event on the schedule is the WPT Closer starting April 3, and the festival finally draws to a close on April 5 with the Main Event final, WPT Closer final and a €550 Bounty Hunter event.
