Fraser in the money at WSOP

By Mad Harper

Congrats to MainEventTravel CEO Fraser MacIntyre who is in the money and through to Day 4 of the $10,000 2018 WSOP Main Event. There are 1,182 players left and Fraser will be back today with a stack of 268,000. He’s already guaranteed $15,00 for his efforts so far.

This year’s WSOP is the second biggest in the event’s 49-year history – with 7,874 entries. Brits were the third largest contingent competing with a total of 350 players. 888poker Ambassador Chris Moorman is doing best so far with 969,000. Ludovic Geilich from Glasgow is also thriving on 760,000.

Fraser, who has already cashed in three WSOP tournaments this summer, noted: “Made it to day 4 of the WSOP Main Event. 1182 players left, and we’re in the money. Back tomorrow with 268k chips to try and multiply.” This is Fraser’s third cash in the WSOP Main Event; two years ago he finished 301st for $32,130. He also cashed in 2015.

A first prize of $8,800,000 is going to the winner of this year’s WSOP, with the final taking place on July 14. The total prize pool was $74,015,600 with all 1,182 players remaining getting a share.

888poker is the official online provider for this year’s WSOP with MainEventTravel their Official Travel Partner booking thousands of rooms for 888poker qualifiers and other players.

MacIntyre’s WSOP Tag Team partner Barny Boatman bust just before the end of play yesterday. The pair made the money together in the WSOP $1k Tag Team event at the end of June.

The Main Event is Event #65. There are 78 events scheduled this year, with 13 events remaining. For the 65 events so far, there have been 109,463 entries and $213,425,143 awarded in prize money - both on track to be 49-year highs.
