EPT Dortmund champion Andreas Hoivold is in great shape as Day 3 of the partypoker MILLIONS Main Event kicks off today at Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn cardroom.
Hoivold is currently lying third in chips with 17,855,000 and will be joined by 255 other Day 2 survivors including 36 players made it through after competing in San Remo, St. Vincent or Vienna.
There were 597 entries (including 46 reentries) in Nottingham yesterday – all chasing a guaranteed first prize of £1m. Combined with buy-ins from online qualifiers and players in partner casinos around Europe, the prize pool has reached £6,017,395 – just over the £6m guarantee. Every one of the 256 remaining players is now in the money and guaranteed at least £5,000.
British player Jeremy Pantin is leading the pack after bagging up 20,915,000. Other big stacks include EPT Dortmund-winner Andreas Hoivold who is currently third on 17,855,000. Also still in are London-based Spanish pro Vicente Delgado (15,885,000), Stephen Chidwick (13,230,000), Iaron Lightbourne (12,600,000), Dean Lyall (8,580,000), Fabio Sperling (7,460,000), and David Peters (5,945,000). Among those who reached Day 3 by competing in the partypoker MILLIONS overseas is WPT Brussels champion Sergio Castelluccio who has 11,105,000. partypoker Ambassadors Mike Sexton (10,050,000), Tony Dunst (2,485,000) and Anatoly Filatov (approximately 1,800,000) are also all still in.
The £25k Super High Roller starts today and there’s also a £2,500 NL 8-max on the schedule with £1m guarantee plus Day 1c of the DTD 200.
