Day 1c took the 2024 Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event to a new level. The event already crushed its €500,000 less than midway through Day 1b, but has already set a new €1,100 Main Event record in Estonian poker history with 731 entries, including 108 entries on Day 1c creating a €687,140 prize pool.
The previous record took place around this time last year when local Estonian hero Priit Parmasto defeated a field of 716 entries to win the lion's share of the €673,040 prize pool.
This is just the start, as plenty of more fresh entries and re-entries are expected on Day 2 with late registration open for the first four blind levels of the day. Players getting in from the start on Friday at noon will have plenty of time to build up a stack with 30 big blinds.
Meanwhile, Lithuania's Irmantas Bzeskis, who normally wears retro NBA jerseys including what you see below on Day 1b, decided to wear street clothes instead. Maybe this new trend will work as he performed the best among the 69 survivors on Day 1c.
The 2020 Kings of Tallinn Main Event champion, who still won the largest prize ever at the Kings of Tallinn after banking €126,900, arrived in Tallinn this evening and immediately hopped into the Main Event. He finished only behind Bzeskis and Henri Antikainen (123,500) with 102,700.
