Mark Patrick from Northamptonshire has won two incredible prize packages, one for his mate Jimi Sotimehin (pictured below) of London and one for himself thanks to an Aspers Spring Festival Package Promotion run by MainEventTravel.com.

 

Spreading some feel-good to a pal obviously comes easy to Aspers fans!  Dozens of players entered the competition running over the last couple weeks. All players had to do was go and like the MainEventTravel’s Facebook page and then say why their friend deserves the chance to compete in the £150,000 guaranteed Aspers Spring Festival Main Event.

 

The 7 most liked comments on Facebook – plus 7 endearing posts selected by the MainEventTravel team – were entered into a random draw which took place on April 21. Aspers fans are clearly a caring lot – there were loads of thoughtful, creative and heart-warming stories on the MainEventTravel’s Facebook page about why friends deserved a Spring pick-me-up.

 

Mark Patrick and Jimi Sotimehin now have the opportunity to compete at the Aspers Spring Festival which is taking place April 24 to May 7 at the famous Stratford casino. Thanks to the nomination, lucky Jimi wins a £1,000 Main Event Package while Mark wins a £500 Warm Up Package.

The promotion, jointly run with Aspers Casino Stratford, was the latest in a series of promotions that MainEventTravel is organising with London’s biggest card room. In the last MainEventTravel.com competition for the Aspers Winter Festival, train conductor Michael London won a £500 Warm Up package (£250 buy-in + £250 travel credit). Michael certainly put his prize to good use, making the Warm Up final table and finishing 8th for £1,365, his first Aspers Stratford cash. There were over 220 entries in the tournament, and nearly £50k in the prize pool, more than double the guarantee.

 

At the forthcoming Spring Festival, the £250 buy-in one-day Warm Up tournament is on Friday, April 28. The Main Event, which comes with a £150,000 guaranteed prize pool, starts on May 4 with the final Day 1d turbo flight taking place on Saturday, May 6; the final is on Sunday, May 7. The schedule also includes a £1,250 High Roller, £150 + £150 + £40 Mystery Bounty tournament, Progressive Bounty and 4/5/6 PLO event.

 

The Warm Up package comprises the £250 buy-in into the Warm-Up tournament plus a MET Travel Credit worth £250. The £1,000 Main Event package comprises a £600 Main Event entry ticket and £400 online MET Travel Credit.
