Massive congrats to Colleen Wong who has won a prize package valued at £700 to compete in the Mystery Bounty event at the forthcoming Hippodrome Casino Mega Series.

 

Colleen beat scores of entries in the promotion which was run jointly by MainEventTravel.com and the Hippodrome Casino. Originally from Alberta, Canada, her 'Hangover the Movie' related post about wanting to head to Vegas netted her an amazing prize consisting of a £440 seat in the Mega Series Mystery Bounty, a £235 travel credit from MainEventTravel.com, and £25 credit towards food and drink at the event.

 

The competition invited players to post on MainEventTravel.com’s Facebook page which destination they’d like most like to go to of the two poker hotspots the Hippodrome is taking players this year as part of their house-funded promotions – Malta or Las Vegas. Both locations were widely sought after, with players wanting to head to either for some sun, fun and poker!

 

In the MainEventTravel.com contest, the seven most liked comments – along with seven comments chosen by the MainEventTravel team – were entered into a live random draw which took place on April 8. As always, choosing our favourites is hard work, everyone puts so much thought and creativity into these competitions.

 

We hope to see mum of two Colleen's run good continue, like The last Mystery Bounty promotion winner, Lee Dean, put his prize to very good use; he not only won the £5k top bounty prize at September’s Super Series (and cashed in 10th place) but then went on to take down the Main Event for £33,930.

In addition to the Mystery Bounty tournament, the festival features four other tournaments: the £1,100 buy-in Main Event, a £175 mega satellite, the £175 buy-in Ladies Event and a £125 + £100 NLHE Turbo Bounty.

In the last Mega Series Mystery Bounty in November, there was a bumper turnout of 222 entries. Some 30 players got a share of the £32,301 prize pool and there were bounty prizes galore. The winner was Londoner Gary Miller whose tournament haul included the trophy, top cash prize of £6,932 plus a further £2,700 in bounties and £3,300 worth of Mega Series Main Event tickets.

 

For this month’s Mega Series Main Event, a fabulous Las Vegas prize package will be added to the prize pool.
