We are 2 days away from the Hippodrome Casino’s next Mega Series festival running April 13 – 16 in the heart of London. With a £1,100 buy-in Main Event and several other events on the schedule, the festival promises a feast of exciting poker action in the UK capital.
The Mega Series festival offers four days of dedicated poker at the Hippodrome – London’s Leading Poker Room. All the tournaments take place in Lola’s, the new pop-up tournament space on the Casino’s lower ground floor.
In addition to the Mega Series Main Event, there are four other tournaments on the schedule: a £440 buy-in Mystery Bounty, a £175 Mega satellite, the £175 buy-in Ladies Event and a £125 + £100 NLHE Turbo Bounty.
The opening event at this forthcoming edition of the Mega Series festival – presented by PokerStars Live at the Hippodrome – is the two-day, Mystery Bounty tournament starting at noon on Wednesday, April 13. £200 of the buy-in will be retained for the bounties.

Hippodrome has announced this Mystery Bounty includes a VIP Malta Poker Festival Package, with a return flight, 5 nights in a 5* hotel, entry into the €300,000 Guaranteed Main Event, a Food & Drinks package at the casino, Players' Parties, and more.
The three-day £1,100 buy-in Main Event kicks off on April 14 and features three starting flights in all. All players get 30,000 in chips with two re-entries allowed per flight . There will be eight levels of late registration with Day 1 playing twelve levels
A fabulous Hippodrome Las Vegas prize package will be added to the Main Event prize pool with an opportunity to 'Spin to Win'. The package guarantees an amazing experience including return flights to “Sin City”, eight nights’ accommodation at a strip hotel, tournament buy-ins along with dinners, activities, an exciting helicopter ride and invite to the Hippodrome Vegas welcome party. All players making the last 36 of the Main Event will randomly choose a number from 1 - 36.
At the last Mega Series in November, Yuval Rosenberg beat Tom Pearn heads-up. It was a bitter-sweet cash for Pearn who was hoping to win back-to-back Mega Series titles after winning the 2021 edition. There was a record field of 203 entries last November creating a giant prize pool of nearly £200k. Rosenberg won £41,646 and the coveted title Pearn won £28,040. Others who made it to the final included WSOP bracelet winner Harry Lodge, UKIPT finalist Alexios Zervos and Ireland’s Conor O’Driscoll. Zervos was third for £19,770, Lodge finished sixth for £9,629 while O’Driscoll was eighth for £5,139.
At the November Mega Series Mystery Bounty, there was a bumper turnout of 222 entries overall. Some 30 players got a share of the £32,301 prize pool and there were bounty prizes galore. The winner was Londoner Gary Miller whose tournament haul included the trophy, top cash prize of £6,932 plus a further £2,700 in bounties and £3,300 worth of Mega Series Main Event tickets.
Among those certain to be playing the Mega Series Main Event and or Ladies Event is new Friend of the Hippodrome Lydia Cugudda. Cugudda, has a long history of competing at the Hippodrome including her biggest live cash to date in 2013 when she was runner-up to poker pro Jake Cody in a UKIPT side event.
