Congratulations to the first-ever UKPL Main Event Champion, Jamie Le. Jamie (pictured) beat the 371-entry field in Coventry, to take home the first-place prize of £37,605! Jamie has had a fantastic couple of year, taking home $ 106,682 in 2022 and $160,788 in 2023, according to Hendon Mob, which included taking down the GUKPT Luton Main Event in October 22 for £95,630. Hats off to Jamie!
It was a fantastic final table (pictured above) and Dan Laidlaw had a great deep run, but he just came up short of his first title finishing in second for a career-best cash of £27,880. And Arian Kashani, who has been on a tear including taking down not just the GUKPT Luton Super High Roller last September, but also the GUKPT Edinburgh High Roller last May, and he also came second in the GUKPT London Midi Main August 2023 (to mention a few), finished in 3rd for £18,980!
UKPL Event winners also include Justin Devenport who won the UKPL Closer for £2,500, Nathan Jones who won the UKPL Coventry Big Shot Event for £5,415, Richard Cox who won the UKPL CoveSeniorsniros Event for £2,130, and Mohammed Hussain (pictured above) won the UKPL Coventry High Roller for £23,800, where Nathan Jones also final tabled and finished in 4th for £9150.

UKPL Festivals
The UKPL is a series of live festivals that are taking place in various Grosvenor Casinos across the country. It’s the first time 888poker LIVE has run a poker league in the UK. The new tour will have its own UKPL leaderboard and all points accumulated will also count towards Grosvenor’s acclaimed National Poker League.
888poker’s Live Events Group Manager Matan Krakow said: “We’ve been working with Grosvenor for the past few years and it’s been an extraordinary partnership. They’re a factor in the UK’s live poker scene. The live events we’ve done with them have been very successful. Poker is very much part of the fabric of UK culture. We’re excited to be launching this new tour.”
All Main Events will cost £560 to enter. In addition to the forthcoming Edinburgh festival, the new tour will also be heading to Luton in March, Manchester in April, Leeds in August, and London in September. The Grand Final will be held next October in Coventry.
