Yay to this one! The Festival is taking place in the UK for the very first time with a great event at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham starting February 12. The Festival is a highly entertaining, week-long extravaganza which offers players the chance to compete in a ton of different tournaments including a €200,000 guaranteed Main Event, the £25,000 guaranteed PokerListings Championship and the £25,000 guaranteed Hendon Mob Championship.
The Festival is all about having fun and mixes up straightforward Hold’Em with lots of other games, variants and off-the-felt activities. There are 35 different events in total and the aim is to combine the very best of poker, casino games and sports betting all at one event.
In addition to the poker tournaments, The Festival at Dusk Till Dawn will also feature the Cash Game challenge, Roulette, Backgammon and Slots tournaments and even a daily edition of Franke’s Flip Flops.
The £200,000 guaranteed Main Event features a £450 buy-in with four starting flights including a Day 1d turbo. One re-entry is allowed per flight making eight bullets in total. All players get a 200,000 starting stack with levels set at 30 minutes for Days 1, b and c.
According to PokerListings, their £120 buy-in PokerListings Championship will be affordable for most bankrolls and provides a great ROI for the Champion, thanks to the amazing value and the large field of players looking to enjoy the Festival atmosphere. The tournament features three starting flights. At the last PokerListings Championship, held during The Festival in Bratislava, JJ Hazan managed to scoop €7,375 after he crushed the 194-player field at Casino Banco.
For die-hard poker enthusiasts, there are plenty of events; the Nottingham schedule will include a heads-up tourney, PLO events, an 8-Game event, Knockout tournaments, a Sviten Special and an Open Face Chinese High Roller.
Cash Game Challenge
The idea of the Cash Game Challenge is to host several cash games during the festival at tables specifically dedicated to this competition. The player who emerges when the dust has settled with the largest profit in terms of Big Blinds will be rewarded with a €1,600 package for The Festival Malta in May. And to give everyone a chance at glory there’ll be a selection of games available, including NLH and PLO4 games each with stakes of €2/€2, €5/€5 and €10/€10. To play, turn up at the Cash Game Area at least 90 minutes before the session starts.
Franke´s Flip Flops
Flip games will take place daily from 21:00 to 23:00; the player who collects the most wins over the week will win the ranking competition and walk away with a full package for the next stop of The Festival worth €1,600.
The Festival highlights
Player of the Festival
During The Festival Nottingham, players will be vying to win the coveted Player of The Festival title. The award comes with a juicy prize –a full package worth €1,600 for the next stop of The Festival Series in Malta from May 15-21. In addition to that, the winner also gets a seat at the table of the next Charity Event, worth €1,000.
The Festival Series was launched by Cash Game Festival founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk in 2021. Franke’s main ethos – in life as well as The Festival Series – is that players of all kinds have a great time and a chance to really enjoy themselves. This is the fourth live stop of the Series; it’s previously taken place in Tallinn in Estonia and twice in Bratislava.
