What’s on in October!

Yup - summer is over - but the poker calendar is only just starting to rev up! Now's a great time to check out what fun tournaments are coming up this Autumn. If it’s sun you’re after, then take your pick from tourneys in Marrakech, Uruguay and Malaga. There’s also plenty to tempt tournament and cash game fans across Europe and the UK, with buy-ins to suit a range of budgets and bankrolls.

 

UK poker tournaments

GUKPT Luton

After a record-breaking GUKPT Leeds this month, the GUKPT is now off to Luton.  GUKPT Luton runs October 8 – 15 so bag your accommodation early! Leg 8 of the 2017 GUKPT tour in Luton features a £200k guarantee Main Event plus a bunch of side events. The GUKPT is celebrating its 11th season in 2017 – and has been to Luton every single season where previous winners have included Sam Trickett (Season 2), Richard Gryko, Neil Channing, Charles Chattha and Jamie O’Connor. Driton Haxhiaj won last year for £61,520.

 

The GUKPT is the  longest running poker tour in the UK, welcoming poker enthusiasts from all across the country for a packed week of fun poker action. We are the tour’s Official Travel Partner and can help you find great hotels near the tournament venue.

 

888Live Festival heads back to London

888Live will be London next month with a giant 888Live London Festival at Aspers Casino offering 12 days of non-stop poker action from October 5 to 16. The £1,100 buy-in Main Event runs October 12 to 16 and a host of big names are set to compete including 888poker Ambassadors Dominik Nitsche, online poker legend and WSOP bracelet winner Chris Moorman, poker personality Kara Scott and Sweden’s Sofia Lövgren.

 

The festival, which is offering a staggering total guaranteed prize pool of £800,000, is the second 888Live London Festival at Aspers following a debut event last October. We have got dozens of hotels on offer so check them out.

 

Redtooth Poker Tour

It will be all action in Luton and Manchester on Sunday, October 8 as the Redtooth National Final South and Redtooth National Final North get underway. Do note that the Redtooth National Finals are only open to those who have qualified from the respective venue. On

Sunday, October 22, Leg 4 of the Redooth Poker Tour takes place in Dundee. You’ll need to have played four games in the Redtooth league in the past 12 months to enter.

 

Genting Poker Series

It’s Leg 14 of Genting Poker Series next month with a Mini event in Sheffield. The Main Event has a guaranteed prize pool of £35,000 which includes nine £440 GPS seats. The event runs October 12-14 at Genting Club Sheffield with players entitled to one re-entry per Day 1 and late reg open until the end of Level 6.

Cash Game Festival Dublin

Cash Game Festival is off to Ireland with a five-day festival starting October 11 in DUBLIN. WPT in Uruguay and Netherlands
WPTDeepStacks is back in Holland for WPTDeepStacks Netherlands at Holland Casino in Valkenburg with a jam-packed schedule from October 9-15. The €1,200 Main Event starts October 12.

 

The World Poker Tour is making its debut in Uruguay at the gorgeous resort of Punta del Este from October 31 to November 5 – with a televised $1,500 WPTDeepStacks Main Event from November 1-5.

 

SuperStack

Super Stack Spain will be heading back to Malaga for another great event in October. Super Stack Spain - Malaga runs October 19-22 at Torrequebrada Casino. All Super Stack Spain events kick off with a Day 1a on Thursdays at 8pm, with Day 1b the same time again on Friday. But if you’re short on time, you can fly in on Saturday for Day 1C which starts at 8pm local time. The final day starts Sunday at 2pm.

 

All Super Stack destinations are easy and cheap to get to. There are numerous return flights from the UK to Spanish resorts enabling Super Stack players the chance to compete in great locations at an affordable cost.
