John Estner leads the way into Day 2 after the opening salvo at the Monster Stack. He was one of four players to bag just over 1 million while Quinwei Meng rounds out the top five stack as close a million as possible without hitting it. Full counts for the advancing players are posted in Chip Counts.
289 entries meant they got just shy of $100k in prizes for Day 1a and 44 players were set to get a piece of it. The top 15 stacks went through to Day 2, but 44-16 got paid out tonight -- See below for a look at who cashed Day 1a.

There are 255 entries in the game so far today with about 3 hours left to enter today's flight. The current prizes are just shy of $85k and it's likely that will push near $100k before entries shutter for the day with at least that much added again tomorrow.
I won't be watching much of this one today as I'll be over in Chrome for the $1k action, but I'll update numbers, Day 1 cashes, and qualifying stacks at the end of the night, and I should be on the floor for most of Day 1b tomorrow.
Event #9: | $400 Monster ($330 + $70) |

The Monster is coming over the hill! Tuesday marks the opening flight of the Monster Stack with action getting underway at 11 am. Wednesday is a repeat of Tuesday for Day 1b.
Players get a monster 40k stack to start the day, and Day 1 levels will play for 30 minutes. Players have 12 levels of poker to buy in or rebuy, and, including breaks, that should put the last chance to enter each Day 1 flight at about 6:15 pm. Day 1 will play for a maximum of 24 levels with a hard stop at about 12:45 am, but they'll bag up early if the field hits 5% earlier than that. This will be a Day 1 payout out event, so players who finish between 15% and 5% will get some money as they leave.
I won't likely have eyes on Day 1a of this one, except to report numbers and the final results and stacks at the end of the day as my main Tuesday focus is Day 2 of the $1k followed by the Turbo $1k. However, I should be around for most of Wednesday's Day 1b and all of Day 2 on Thursday.
