Henri Kasper was late getting to the Kings of Tallinn. He had an amazing excuse though as he was busy battling it out at the EPT Paris Main Event where he eventually took fifth place out of 1,606 entries to win a whopping €317,050 for his biggest-ever international poker tournament cash.
Now Kasper has something else to potentially brag about. Of course, it isn't as big as his EPT run but his entry into Day 1c was the 600th! The field now stands at 602 after a couple of more entries with the prize pool already at €565,080 and counting.
Congrats once again to Henri Kasper for his EPT run and we wish him the best of luck in the Kings of Tallinn Main Event.
Main Event Day 1c
Level 5: 200/400 (400)
Entries: 61/77
Day 1c of the Main Event has grown to 77 entries. The flight is on its first break. Many of the players went to where the flips are being held to try to get to Day 2 of the €150 GGPoker Flip & Go Mystery Bounty.
Main Event Day 1c
Level 2: 100/100 (100)
Entries: 66/68
Johan Karlsson is in the house and competing in the Day 1c field in hopes of finding Kings of Tallinn glory once again.
Just before the pandemic in 2020, Karlsson won the record-breaking Kings of Tallinn Main Event for €126,900 after making a deal with Ermo Kosk.
This epic event attracted 674 entries to generate a €640,300 prize pool. Time will tell whether this year's event will become the new record but in the meantime, best of luck to Johan!
As a reminder, our updates will be light for Day 1c. In the meantime, you can read about some of what happened earlier today during Day 1b by clicking on the Day 1b tab in our coverage.
Main Event Day 1c
Level 2: 100/100 (100)
Entries: 57/57
Day 1c has already attracted 57 entries bringing the total field up to 571 entries and counting. The prize pool already has reached €535,800 to crush the €500,000 guarantee. Now it is just a matter of how big the Main Event will get with late registration not only open throughout Day 1c but during the first two blind levels of Day 2.
Day 1c kicked off with 49 entries. This figure will grow in leaps-and-bounds throughout the final opening flight.
The time is near for the final of the three opening flights of the Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event will begin.
While it is dubbed a turbo by many, it really provides tons of play with 30-minute blind levels. Of course, this is half of what the other two opening flights featured.
Otherwise, this flight plays out the same as the others with 30,000 in opening chips, eight blind levels, and unlimited re-entries.
Players that fail to find a bag during this final opening flight can still buy in or re-enter until late registration is closed after the second level of Day 2. Of course, players that bust out early on Day 2 will also have the option to pop back into this epic event.
